With a long-standing experience in:
- design, development and testing, including testing during sporting events, of the highly augmented reciprocating internal combustion engines and their components,
- development and use of the new structural materials (composites, intermetallic compounds, and ceramics) for manufacturing the engine components,
- information analysis in the area of reciprocating engines research and prospects of their development,
- professional participation in the auto and motor sporting events,
In 2000, Research and Production Company COMPDVIG, established a high-technology manufacturing facility in Russia
to produce major components of reciprocating internal combustion engines using new advanced materials:
valves and connecting rods of light titanium alloys (cutting their mass by up to 50 %),
high-strength fastening parts, etc.
COMPDVIG has the know-how to manufacture valves, which are suitable for functioning under most severe engine operating conditions, including supercharging and high rotational frequency, and which have the heat resistance characteristics higher than those of the titanium valves currently produced by most manufacturers.
The valve, the manufacturing process and the heat-resistant titanium alloy are protected by the Russian and international patents. Design and manufacturing process of titanium connecting rods are protected by the RF Patent No.2232308.
